Methodology & disclosure
What we know.
How we know it.
Clear buying information starts with a clear account of the evidence. Here is the scope of this project and the limits of these guides.
A small, specific editorial project
Small Desk Notes is an English-language buying-guide site operated by Small Desk Notes, focused on compact standing desks for US home offices. Its five guides cover width, depth, minimum height, desktop reuse, and purchase terms. Standard UPLIFT V3 48 × 24 and 60 × 24 configurations are a documented desk example, not a ranking of all available brands.
Small Desk Notes is independent of UPLIFT. We do not claim a professional credential, a testing lab, an owner community, or a history of product use.
Source-based, with the calculations visible
Product facts come from the merchant’s official product builder, specifications, and written shipping, return, and warranty policies. The two selected builder configurations were checked on October 12, 2026. The guides link to the sources and distinguish an observed product-page price from an unverified checkout total.
We hold comparable options constant before describing a price difference. Surface areas are calculated from nominal width and depth. Height with the top is calculated by adding the selected top’s stated thickness to the frame-only range. We label calculated examples rather than presenting them as additional observed prices or physical measurements.
Room-planning checklists and explanations are original editorial analysis. The content was prepared with AI assistance using the cited source material. That process is not a substitute for hands-on product testing, and the site does not present it as one.
What we have not tested
We have not used these desks or measured stability, noise, comfort, setup time, long-term durability, or health outcomes. We do not publish numerical review scores, invented customer experiences, or a claim that either desk is best for everyone. A published specification is identified as a manufacturer’s specification.
We have not completed an order, confirmed checkout tax or destination-specific charges, or verified that the observed stock and promotions will remain available. The date on each guide is the date of the underlying source check, not a claim of continuous live monitoring.
Links and affiliate disclosure
Current status: no affiliate linksEvery merchant link on this site is an ordinary link to an official source. Small Desk Notes earns no referral commission from these links. No merchant approval, sponsorship, or affiliate relationship is claimed.
If affiliate links are introduced after approval, the affected pages and links will carry a clear commission disclosure, and those links will be marked as sponsored. No affiliate tracking is active on this site.
Original illustrations and editorial independence
The desk sketch, footprint and layout diagrams were created for this site. They are conceptual illustrations, not merchant photographs, product renderings, or evidence of a tested layout. Monitor body-width examples use cited manufacturer dimensions; screen-distance examples use explicitly illustrative inputs. Neither substitutes for measuring a real setup. No merchant photos, review excerpts, or third-party image assets are included.
The comparison is organized around the reader’s decision: room width, equipment depth, selected options, total purchase cost, and policy constraints. The current selection is intentionally narrow and is not a comprehensive ranking of the standing-desk market.
Scope and product support
The guides are general buying information. They do not certify individual fit, mounting compatibility, ergonomic suitability, or medical benefits. The merchant is responsible for its products, payment, fulfillment, returns, warranty claims, and support.
